What inspired you to build your homelab, and what’s its main purpose today?

it started with Nextcloud and Mailcow hosting for the family because I didn't want to store my data with goolge or other providers. mainly for playing around with new technologies like kubernetes / vxlan / sdn ...

What’s one part of your setup (hardware or software) that you’re especially proud of — and why?

The TrueNAS Server! It is the latest purchase and replaces two old QNAP NAS systems. 10G for the first time :)

What are your next plans, experiments, or dream upgrades for your lab?

bigger rack and 3x Node Proxmox Ceph Cluster for HA
